This is the National Home Page for the Knights of Columbus.  The Knights was formed thanks to the efforts of Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, Connecticut and some of his parishioners in 1882.  The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal benefit society and is  true to its founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity.

What we do

What we do

From the moment of our founding in 1882, charity has been the first principle of the Knights of Columbus. We are Catholic men of faith and men of charitable action.

Generations of Brotherhood

For many Knights, service to the Church and the Order is a family tradition uniting fathers, sons and grandsons.
